Print information
Alan Keohane studied fine art print making under Alstair Crawford at the UCW in Aberystwyth before going onto study photography at the Central School of Art & Design in London.
All the prints shown here are archival original limited edition prints. Since giving up darkroom printing Alan has been using Jon Cone’s Piezographic process. This involves using pure carbon based pigment inks that give unparralled archival permenance and extremely fine detail and very subtle tonal rendition. The images are printed with generous borders onto heavy German Hahnemühle acid free cotton rag.
All the prints are signed in pencil at the bottom left of the image and numbered on the bottom right. Additionally all original prints are embossed on the lower right corner of the paper with Alan Keohane’s personal stamp as a guarantee of authenticity.
In addition to prints Still Images also produces beautifully boxed collections of oversized postcards, suitable for framing. These can be found under Postcards on this website.
